QC photos: what they prove and what they do not
Quality check photographs are the only look you get before the item leaves China. They are evidence of some things and silent on others, and knowing which is which decides whether you accept the parcel.
What a QC photo is
When your item reaches the agent's warehouse, somebody takes it out of the packaging, puts it on a table and photographs it. Those photographs appear in your account and you are asked to approve or reject before anything ships.
This is the single most useful thing an agent does, and it is the reason using one beats a forwarding address. A problem found here is still in the same country as the seller, which means it can be returned, exchanged or refunded. The same problem found at your door usually cannot.
The photographs are taken quickly, by someone handling many parcels, who does not know what you ordered or why. That is the right frame for reading them.

What the photographs are evidence of
The hollow rows are the useful ones, because they turn into something solid if you ask. Additional photographs are usually free or nearly so, and asking is far cheaper than shipping the wrong thing across an ocean.

How to actually read a QC set
Rejecting is normal and not an accusation. It starts a conversation with the seller while the item is still local.
Compare against the listing, not against your hopes
Open the original listing photographs next to the QC shots. You are checking whether the seller sent what was advertised, which is a narrower question than whether you like it.
Look at the parts that are hard to fake
Stitching density, how seams meet, the inside of a collar, the weight of hardware. Logos are the first thing anyone gets right and the least informative.
Ask for a measurement before you approve
One photograph with a tape measure across the chest settles more arguments than any amount of staring at a flat lay.
Decide while it is still in China
Approval is the point of no return. Once the parcel ships, your options narrow to keeping it or paying to send it back across the world.
