Four places hold the answers, and each one knows a different thing. Asking the wrong one is why people wait days for a reply that was never going to come.
Who actually knows the answer
The last row is the one worth reading twice. A guide site is not a support channel, and a day spent waiting on one is a day the item sat in a warehouse.

Terms you will meet in the first week
Nine of them. The ones that cost money if misunderstood are the last three.

Frequently asked questions from the first week
Do I need an account on Weidian itself?
No. Your agent buys on your behalf through their own account. You need an account with the agent, not with the platform.
Can I pay the seller directly?
In practice no. Weidian sellers take Chinese domestic payment methods. That gap is the main reason agents exist.
How long does the whole thing take?
Two separate periods: the seller getting the item to the warehouse, then the international leg after you pay freight. Shipping tables describe only the second. There is a longer explanation of why.
What happens if the item is wrong?
If you catch it in the QC photos, it is still in China and can usually be returned or exchanged. If you approve it and it ships, your options narrow sharply. That is why it is worth reading the QC set properly.
Is any of this legal where I live?
Importing goods for personal use is normal and subject to your country's duty rules. What you buy is your responsibility: counterfeit goods are treated differently from ordinary goods at most borders, and we are not in a position to advise on your jurisdiction.
